American Legion The American Legion has two posts in Angeles City, both with canteens/cafes open to members and non members of any nationality. ► Post 123 is at 370 Batangas Street. ► Post 10 is on Don Juico Avenue, between Garfield’s and Peanut’s.
Angeles City Flying Club Interested in ultra light flying? ACFC has trial flights available: a 10-minute introductory flight and a 20-minute flight over the rain forest. Angeles Hot Rod Association (AHRA) AHRA membership is open to all car enthusiasts, drag racers, classic car nuts, in fact all petrol heads. AHRA hold regular events and weekly social evenings at the Hang Out, Perimeter Road, (between Honey Ko’s and Thai Hi), Balibago, Angeles City. Angeles Sports and Country Club The club in Zeppelin St, Hensonville, Angeles City, has a swimming pool, 9-hole golf course, driving range restaurant, sports bar and pool tables. Lawn Bowls from 2.30 p.m. daily, with ‘Academy’ bowling each Sunday for young bowlers at 9:30 a.m. Beginners Lawn Bowls is on Tuesday evening under lights. Temporary Membership is available for P1,500 a month.
Balibago Social Golf Club Based at Marina Hills Golf and Country Club, 15-km north of Angeles City, visitors most welcome. Registration Tuesdays at the Orchid Inn Resort 6.30 a.m. to 7.00 a.m. Cost for the day is P650, inclusive of green fees, transportation, prizes, and after-game presentation and entertainment. Hash House Harriers The Hash departs from the Anchorage Inn, Real St, Angeles City each Sunday at 2.00 p.m. for walkers; 3.00 p.m. for runners. Cost is P300 per person which includes drinks at the day’s end. If a ‘newbie’ best carry a bottle of water to avoid dehydration.
Mad Dog Motorcycle Club (MDMC) A Club for Harley Davidson and large bore cruisers, the group only accepts bikers who are dedicated to free spirited riding and brotherhood, so MDMC membership is by invitation only. Mountain Clark Firing Range and Gun Club Based at 15-29 Don Jose Street, Don Bonifacio Subdivision, Angeles City the range and club is open daily for members and non members. Assistance and advice includes medical needs, dealings with Tricare, VA and SSA, US military ID cards, pay problems, FPO services and general support for retirees.
